My Art

My art is a mindful and joyful practice. I work in several different mediums and will continue to do so as I grow as an artist.

After many years of encouragement and my own desire I decided it was time to share my art. Through my art, I want to share the abundance, beauty, and joy that comes from the journey and outcome of art. I am honored to share this gift and hope that in doing so I will honor the One who first gave me this gift.

“The meaning of life is to find your gift and the purpose of life is to give it away.”-Pablo Picasso

About Me

From a young age I found enjoyment in drawing and painting and my family encouraged me to take lessons and classes. After college, I took a year of art courses before continuing my schooling to earn teaching credentials in art and social science, and later completed a master’s degree in history. I taught for nine years, and while raising my own children, I returned to studying art through private classes and courses at the Atheneum School of the Arts and other art institutions. I am constantly looking for time to sneak away in my garage studio to try my hand at another art technique or skill. I am a wife, mother, teacher, and artist. I see that art can bring joy, and I hope that you find a little as you look through my art! Thank you for visiting!
